Punctuation
- "The use of standard marks and signs in writing and printing to separate words into sentences, clauses, and phrases in order to clarify meaning."--The American Heritage Dictionary. Based on the examples shown in the USMARC Format for Bibliographic Data, when the input convention for a particular field is "Ends with a period" or "Ends with a period unless another mark of punctuation is present", the field ends with a period even when closing parenthesis, closing angle bracket, or closing bracket is present unless these marks are specified.[ 100 | 110 | 111 | 130 | 210 | 222
